Hi, If you are going to use the ski in the surf that battery is crap. The plates fall out of them. Get a gell cell and it wont give you any grief. I went through 4 cbl16s. Just ask Wally. His crapped out on Sunday.

I haven't had any issues yet and I do mostly surf riding. In saying that my most extreme trick is a 180 nose stab haha. I'll look into the gel batt. who sells these? price?

I was looking around on youtube and found this:

It's Wamilton showing you how properly allign your motor.

He says the gap you should have metween motor and driveline should be bewtween 2 and 3 mm. I'll measure mine later on but I think it may be close to 7 mm. Thoughts?

Hi, most people with superjets place a stainless washer on the crank befor e the coupler goes on. This reduces the gap between the couplers. May be next time you have it out put one in.

I might pull the motor back out and do this tonight. Better to be safe than sorry. Would the gap be that large from factory?

Hi, I think the factory gap is around 7 mm. Tofa will no. The washer reduced mine to 4mm.

Don't get a gel battery, spend the money and get a Yuasa battery...

They stand up to anything you can throw at them!

I was once told by a wise old man that you want the gap to be as small as possibly...However 3mm is pretty good so if you can be around that you should be fine. You can buy stainless washers to help reduce the gap(put the washer on engine side).

    Hope this helps.

As for a battery i run the cheapest shityest battery all year and have no worries...just keep it charged and after about 1.5-2 years when it doesnt hold charge chuck it and get a new one.
