So I pulled everything out of my ski to do some work and now I can't remember how it all goes back together.

First thing. Where and how does this bolt to the hull?

It goes at the back of the hull below the shaft I think?

yep it sits in the lowest parts of the hull below the shaft, the hose pushes on the fitting you can see sticking out by the shaft and the elbow in the line gets zip tied up under the lip in the foreground of the photo with another hose that should be there (so that its above the water line)

There should be a plate that bolts onto a mid shaft housing bolt & holds the suction box in place.

Cheers. Got that bit sorted. Can I use gasket goo to put my exhaust back on? Or is genuine gaskets the way to go?

Think the first question you should be asking yourself is..." Am i the rite person for this job" lol.

Doesnt have to be oem gasket(you can get them made for half the price or im sure Lemon racing and parts will have some) but you do have to use a gasket.

Yea i'm fine working on my own ski. This is the first time I have pulled a ski to pieces and put it back together. Hence the questions. Cheers, i'll get some genuine gaskets.

Does the hose go on the fitting at the top of the picture or the bottom of the picture?

Bottom of the picture for your venturi or water sucker. The other is the main water cooling in to your engine. DONT get them around the wrong way.

If your running an aftermarket exhaust, then set up the pump for dual cooling now...

IF your still going to run the stock exhaust, then do as Flan says...

***Only do as Flan says this one time, the rest of the time just laugh with him***

I have my four sets of shims that go on the engine mount. One pair are one thick and one thin. The other pair is one thick, one medium and one thin. An idea which goes where on a stock superjet.

Really Dude..... You Should have remembered which shim went were. Now you have an ass off a job to align the coupling up. Look on the net how to do the alignment. Get it right or you will fk splines. Some one on here may want to give you a hand ah aqua nob

Here man i copied this from xh20

Slide the engine into place WITHOUT the rubber damper. The first stage here is to try to get the engine height figured out. Left and right alignment is negligible at this point. You want to add shims accordingly to each mount so that you can take a card and place it on the top of both couplers and have that card sit even.

Once you have that figured out, remember or mark the position of the shims, pull the engine forward, slide in the rubber damper, add your shims back, and just barely snug each engine mount bolt. You'll now twist the engine so that when you place a card on the sides of the couplers, the card will sit flush on both sides. You can also use a variety of measuring tools to determine whether each side is aligned properly instead of a card. Between each movement remember to snug atleast one bolt back down before you let go of the engine, otherwise you'll just loose the amount you have moved the engine. Once left and right alignment has been figured out, torque down all your bolts.

Your right. I should have noted everything down as I was pulling it apart. You live and you learn I guess. It's good anyhow, i'm learning alot about my ski.

Yer I pulled my engine out a few years back and had the mounts on the ground in order that they went in and my misses thought she was helping by cleaning up and put them all in a jar. I was not happy. Tried the Jake the muss moves but she beat the crap out of me.

also bear in mind that the position your mounts are bolted down (ie, hard to one side of the bolt holes) will effect the amount of shims you may need.

The OEM mounts dont have too much slop as the holes are tighter with the size of bolt, some of the aftermarket mounts have quite big hole so can move around a fair bit.

That green hose coming our from the bottom of the pole with the gold clip on the end.....where does that go?

to the water trap (left of picture)

The water trap already has the hoses on but just figured out it's the battery breather.
