ok well its just there is more to be gained if you play with your boost tunnel but to do that you also need to do the cases

What do you mean by the boost tunnel? I just said they are already done...
  3. waxhead

the port /tunnel leading up to the boost window

Is that the tunnel to the front transfer port? Please explain..
  5. waxhead

the tunnel for the boost port
you need to widen it at the bottom and then taper it all the way up until it is the same size as the port window

    yes
but extend it into your cases as well

The cases have been opened up across the top. Much much wider do you normally take the boost tunnel?? The casting is not as nice to grind as the sleeves...

I fill the open area of the case with defcon and then take it right out till it almost breaks through and then blend it up from there
    No deeper just wider

Think I'll just leave it now.. If I get some spares I'll go a bit further.

so if you makae it wider, what do you do about the gasket/sealing issue?

you make sure you use alot of jb weld of devcon and then sand it flat
    it works very well

Not the best quality photo, but read something about the Factory B pipes and decided to open it up a bit too..

    Yes good idea
More torque from the pipe is it a surf boat only
or are you going to try and race it

<-- That one .. Surf ski .. But if I was going to race it, I wouldn't be 'trying'

Yo Rumble Hows that thing go with the new port job?

Still haven't got a new pole so I couldn't tell you.

Very responsive on the trailer if that counts...Hasn't had a tune yet either.

Still tossing up putting a 61X flywheel on it, I would be keen but just finished putting the eletrical box back together, might do next time I check the flywheel/stator/bendix.

    Why a 61x flywheel
if its because it is lighter then dont bother
  19. Rumble

    Rumble Member

Less rotational mass... but yeah I will probably wait and lighten at the same time..

from memory there is stuff all difference in weight between the 61x flywheel and the 62t...i did have it written down somwhere......i normally machine off about 200 grams with the ones ive machined down...basically same dimensions as the ones pro-tec do...
