I broke my 701, now with added pictures.

Hey bros, seized my blaster the other day. It hasn't had the same bottom end snap since my exhaust leak was fixed, thinking lean...maybe shit in the carb or a fucked carb gasket causing a leak. I dunno, once I get it running again will tune.I pulled plugs today nothing special showing, they were both brown??
Anyway its a 96 with 62t, any recommendations for piston brands, websites etc?
Should I just bore what's necessary, or go to town and get some capacity in that bitch haha.
Any thing else I should do with it?

I'm planning on using it for surf. Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated i'm pretty new to this stuff!

you will generally need to open up the motor to see what the damage is, to know what needs doing....ie if bits of piston have gone thru everything , which may stuffed ya crank , or snagged a ring and chipped a chunk of your cylinder sleeves etc etc....

sounds like minimum would be a new set of pistons, and you would probably want to do the crank seals at same time (if you dont know how old they are)....and gaskets etc

generally Pro-x pistons are a good way to go, and only use the OEM spec crank seals (which have 'ARS' on em), as sold by genuine yamama, pro-x etc

Motor still turns over, but makes a high pitched whistle in time with piston movement when doing so. Its deafining with the hood up. Gotta pull it apart, was too cold yesterday was snowing at the time!

could be your stater clutch (bendix) not disengaging ....

Could it engage on its own somehow? It was running shit then revs dropped and just before it stalled it started making that noise. I just assumed it was melted piston or something rubbing the bores

Things to check
Stator plate loose or come off all together and jamming
As Knoxie said...Bendex
Reed or reeds snapped off and jammed in crank
Check that stuff before stripping motor other wise take it to Mark's mate in the deep south and in no time you'll have a killer motor, be single and put pic's of wangers on your ski...lol.

s14 Silvia. Putting a vq30det in, if you know your nissans its a rwd maxima motor that's very strong and factory turbo.
If you don't know your nissans its a 3litre turbo v6.

If you know life, its a fucking headache.

pop the front cover , fly wheel and pull barrels this way u can see pretty much everything and you will only lose a cover seal and base gasket
