yea, went really well. Need to sort out the pole though. The rivets that hold the top on are loose in their holes. Might take it off, cut it down a bit, re drill and re rivet.
Ive just finished building a gp1200 for the family and for the boys to use as a filming boat. And im just starting to give the superjet a full overhaul so il post some pics soon of the new set up.
I have started a new project!....Im building a yamaha gp800 powervalve motor that will use a b pipe and fit into a superjet. Im 95% finished on the bed plate as you have to upright the motor to make it work with the b pipe Im 100% finished on the intake manifold and 90% finished on the b pipe manifold. Its hasnt been to much trouble to date just lots of messuring and thinking lol Im hoping to fit it into the hull this week to line up couplings and then finish welding on the bed plate...Then in the next few week i will try to get the motor built and fitted and tested. In stock form the motor runs 120hp but with reeds,46mm carbs, milled head and b pipe im hoping it will be a bit more lol.
I have a RIVA quick rev ignition for a GP800r for sale if you are interested. It has 4 user selectable ignition curves with one that is specifically for a b-pipe.
if tofa dosent wont the ignition i could be keen , ive got a gp800 with dry pipes that could be use a pick me up
