Soo was in the process of buying an sxr for racing and did a compression test to find out was only running at an uneven 78psi and 90psi. Have now seen the light and am after a nice reliable superjet, a pretty standard one so i can work on it myself. Am absolutely frustrated with dodgy ppl and dodgy deals so hoping you guys could help me! Im looking at spending around 5-6g maybe a bit more depending. Cheers Tim
Ah well would like to get better at riding to start with and take it from there. Would like to have a pretty standard ski and modify it to suit. Do the superjets do very well at racing anyway? Ah it was the one on trademe the other week that was up in blenhiem, was listed as an 06 but was an 03 and the motor was in need of some work, but was stated as fine.
2008 onwards superjet are good for racing as well as freeriding while sxrs are mostly just good for racing. Pre 08 superjets are the most common for surf riding but the average rider would get smoked in a race on one. Buying a stock ski is always a good start if you want something reliable. 5 or 6k should get you something decent if you keep your eyes open for the right deal!
from 08 onwards the hull bottom is quite different, it has built in tubbies, deeper chines, a set back pump, a built in pump stuffer and is more narrow in the rear of the hull. Its a much more aggressive turner than the older hulls.
hey timmy i have an 08 forsale that is set up with footholds etc forsale have a couple of motor options or i can put our stock motor back in so price depends on that pm me with your details

Re: 2006 Yamaha Superjet so you have a superjet and we haven't even seen you in the surf. No wonder Monique thinks your dumb.
