Any one fitted a WB 800 engine to a Superjet? I have a complete WB 800 ski needing a rebuild ( wet crank ) but wonder if it is a good powervalve motor for a SJ instead of the 951 option.

Its a bit of work but i think its well worth it...And now ive done all the hard work on making bed plates, manifolds etc it will be pretty easy copying my stuff.
Give me a ring on 0274746397 and we can sort it.
  4. Stuff that small shit talk to Roger and put a GP1200 in as he has done......apparently not a hard conversion

Tofa can we see some pics
The 800 would go awesome in a superjet its like a 10mm lamey.
Just way cheaper, did you lighten the crank at all on it as I know they are quite heavy

will try and sort pics...no i didnt lighten the crank but did look into it...was told its not worth all the work as the crank will most likely fail?
I did try lightening the fly wheel but but took to much off and fucked it...
Now that ive got the jetting very close the motor hits pretty dam hard and now it looks like i need to try taller impellers.

Cheers Tofa, I am gonna stick the WB800 back together and use it for a little wave action this summer, kind of like having the superjet and a shrunken runabout so me and Cathie can swap back and fro when the SJ saps our energy being as we are both learners on it.
