wanted ... intank fuel sensor

    wanted ... intank fuel sensor...
    any one wrecked a yamaha sitdown and has a working fuel sensor available?
    - the bit that inserts into tank with black rubber top and two wires coming out the top

    Is it stuffed? wires broken off level with the top of the mount?

    yeah wires broken level with mount... don't know if anything else wrong with it... have tried to resolder but no skill/luck

    yeah 3 sensor points (floats), and two wires out top

    I had the same thing happen with mine. I managed to grind out the rubber with a die grinder and kind of dig out the wires so there was enough length to properly solder them back up. Then just ran a heap of glue to fill it back up again. Did this about two years ago and its still good as.

    cheers steve, yes thats what I tried too but didn't happen for me.
