Well that sucks, how are you meant to free ride without breaking the 5 knot speed limit within 200m of the shore???
Well it's not our fault! most if the time we're either under thw water or in the air as pictured, not int the water= not a problem. That article must be referring to sitdowns
Just had an interesting conversation with Auckland regional council. turns out the databases of the three regions aren't joined. the north one and auckland one are joining soon. but the waikato database (numbers start with a 9) is not joining. Don't know if you can figure out a loop in the system or not, but if a ski was falsely registered in waikato they wouldn't be able to tell from auckland i would think. not that i'm saying you should do this. but in terms of instant fines, they would have no way of checking if it was registered right wouldn't they? they probably have some system though.
You would think that they would have a connected system, otherwise its kinda stupid, but then again we are talking about local Govt / council so i guess you have to expect some stupidity
Get one reg for each region, put all the numbers on your ski different angles and directions and noone will know whats what!
lol our 70-100hp skis are really gonna be able to boost of the coast guard boats that are running two mercury 150 outboards
I've got that one guys - "Please don't tell me off mr coastguard, I'm just a girl - I didn't know any better....rego??? What's a rego??? hehehehe" Works every time!!
just gap it into some shallow water ....im sure they wont want to beach there boat in half a foot of water  ........just hope they aint waiting for you at the boat ramp at the end of the ride!
When you stick the number on, just mix the numbers up a little, i.e swap a couple of digits around, they are not going to have the facility to check on the water, and by the time they worked out you fucted them over with a different number it will be too late. Quite common in Canada...
But it IS registered! And the letter only said to ensure that the number is displayed on the hull area, which it clearly is... Just it wouldn't fit anywhere without going over one of the existing stickers...
