don't you unplug one of the plugs coming from the pole? can't remember whether it's the black one or the white one. same symptom as if the stop button is held whilst cranking. -that or i'm confused with another problem.

yeah, unplug the stop switch connector down in the engine bay and check for spark

while you've got the electrical box open, check the winding's resistance on the cables going back to the flywheel area. there should be 2 pairs and a black wire.

    the black is an earth.
the green pair are the charging coil, which should lead to the regulator inside the electrical box. disconnect these from the regulator, using the ohms setting on your multimeter you should get a reading of
328.5-401.5 ohms - if this is open circuit or out of this range it wont affect spark - only charging. but you might as well check it while you're in there

next measure the resistance between the other 2 wires, 1 is white with a red stripe, i cant remember the other colour, but its the only other one there. with these disconnected from the cdi, you should get a reading of
12.06-15.4 ohms if your reading is outside of this range you have either a dodgey wire or dodgey stator windings.

with all this connected back up again, unplug the coil itself from the cdi, if you use the ohms setting on the 2 wires of the coil itself, there shouldnt be a short circuit, but im not sure of the correct reading. if its a short you have a faulty coil though.

next put your meter on the 2 wires from the cdi to the coil, when you turn the ski over as if you're trying to start it, there should be dc12v pulsing on these wires. - if theres not, you either have a dodgey cdi, or you have stop swith issues, or you havnt tested your stator yet.

    good luck![/quote]

I had the same prob on monday with my superjet.

Went mint on Sunday but when I went to start it on Monday it wouldn't go. I changed the plugs and it started straight away.
