Just wondering if it is worth the DIY fix replacing the leads soldering/epoxying to the OEM coil or does this just create more problems down the track? Mostly saltwater use in the surf. Am I best to just get a new Kawi coil to save the hassle?

    Cheers for the help

I've run rebuilt coils for 20 years. Yes I'm old lol.. never had a problem. The low tension side of the coil very really fails, only the high tension leads, mainly from being bent (engine removal etc )and breaking the inner cable.

The kawi coil's are a bit short for a Yamaha. Mates have bought them and you can play a violin on them, they are that short !!!
