just got my ski back on the water after the winter ,it some times starts for a couple of seconds then dies and struggles to start again for a minute ,have just ordered new start stop switch but will nt arrive for a few weeks ,is there anything i can check easily ,also had carbs rebuilt over winter and new jet setup could it just need a real good tune?

I had the same trouble a few years back. It was my lanyard switch. I opened the actual switch and gave it a lube and it went fine.
