DUDE! I think you should try a 3-D  that way when you come back to skis you can choose sitdown or standup every day!

Yo it takes some time to learn to ride a pole ski. Thundercats are gay as after jetskiing. My advise would be to just put some fucken hours on your superjet!

No, the Seadoo 3D are 2 stroke. You need 4L of $100/L oil per 4L of gas or something - You could do a conversion but then it wouldn't weigh what the spec says in the workshop manual.

Yeah i have no probs riding the superjet. It handles great. But i need something cheaper as i have a new project coming through in the the next month or so.
  5. New project? Is it a secret project?

Now if he were to answer that it would no longer be a secret would it :p

I agree there too, Ride and you shall learn to love
  7. I agree also.

I got a GTR skyline arriving in the country next month. Thundercat racing looks pretty cheap so i want to give that a try.
  9. That ski takes up hardly any room -a lot less than a thundercat, stick it sidways in front of the car in the garage. What model GTR are you getting?

Im getting a R32. Its got mint compression at 150 psi on each cylinder and yeah i put it together myself. Is it it crime to put it together myself?

Its worth alot more than $4500.

For that money i would just put it in storage,

Also the foam is not completely out of the hull. i have just dug out two channels in the bottom of the hull and put a drain plug in so i can drain water out.
  13. I wouldn't take less than 7k if it were my ski. It ridden it and it runs well. makes no difference who put it together

A lot can be said about who built an engine - I won't get too into it but simple things can be overlooked can end up being very expensive in the short term - a lot of things come with experience and can be as simple as jets in the carb, or the number of turns on them.

I'm trying to understand what you did with the foam and drain plugs, can you throw a photo on? If any is out of the deck or near the footholds you might end up going straight thru it when you do a big jump. If any is out of the chimes or bottom area it will crack the first time it is ridden up a beach or landed a bit flat - To me it seems that you have caused more problems chasing a few grams of water in resin based foam which doesn't even hold water drilling holes, removing foam and not listening to anyones advice when the ski has obviously had reinforcing and a non-standard pole making it heavier than spec... When Dave owned it he had no problems doing big jumps on it and not to be rude but you are not the smallest guy on the forum so i'm not sure what you were trying to achieve anyway.

I've given you an offer which I think is fair considering the ski is basically stock minus the paintjob and a few steering and driveline mods and the fact you put it together (and you don't seem to listen to anyones advice) and I would want to get rid of this seemingly pointless drain plug and put foam back in the ski - but I suppose like everything your ski is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Also are you selling it with the alloy prop or the stainless one which I thought you had put in it?

Yeah im selling it with the alloy and im going to sell the stainless prop.

It doesnt take a genius to put an engine together. Just about any monkey with half a brain can do it. I have built rotary engines, Dirt bikes, seadoos, etc no problem at all and a poleski engine is the most simple out of the lot of them. I have done about 20 hours on it so far and checked compression today and it is mint as and plugs look good and starts first pop everytime with no choke.

I have just taken a bit of foam out of the bottom of the chines so any water can be easily drained. This is not going to effect the structure of the ski at all. The chines have quite alot of curves and are prob the strongest part of the hull because of this. There is still foam under the deck and around the footholds. You think about how many people out there dont reinforce sides and they dont crack. The sides would be a hell of lot weaker than the chines would be underneath the hull.

Oh well how ever way you look at it, it is still a bloody good ski, well priced and should sell very soon. I have a few guys coming to look at it next week and i think the trailer has already sold. Thanks for the offer.

True, I didn't say it was a feat, just some 'monkeys' do it wrong and there a certain amount of skill involved in assembling it properly and having it running best as possible... I don't want to sound nasty or like I am trying to negatively impact your sale. I am saying I would pull it down to check everything over check the seal on the gaskets etc.

    Who built your seadoo engine?
