reinforcing

    can anyone tell me how many layers of glass to lay on to reinforce sides on sxr and fx1 :)

    From what I've heard you don't need to do the sxr. They are built like a tank. About the worst a sxr will do is get some spider cracks in the top gel coat but it dosent effect the strenth off the ski at all. I have a new x2 and have some off those in the tray area but the glass is fine and is still strong as

    Yea dont add weight to an sxr, they already weigh the same as titanic :lol:

    shortass got his and joels done so assumed it may be important to do

    what about sides on fx1 this will get resonably hammered tayne a bit loose

    Fill in the bond line areas with epoxy and milled fibers, then use one layer of 1298 Biax to reinforce...

    That will be sufficient for any abuse you can give it...

    Yea it was said after we got them done they are completly bullet proof
