If anyone wants to come drink lion red with me and scream abuse at Dazza racing his blaster you are most welcome.

Being a 2 day event we are camping 2 min up the road cost is $13 a night and the more the merrier.

The vintage runabout (blaster) fun class has been confirmed and you can enter on the day we should really try turn this into a dalusion class.

Unfortunately High flyer wont be racing his blaster after an incident involving his finger and an over-head router today hope you get well soon man!

If you need any info give me a call 0211849797

Well what a weekend - the weather was mint on Saturday requiring plenty of sunscreen to make sure you didn't get burned to a crisp. The wind came up in the afternoon which made for hard riding in the latter rounds though. Sunday was a bit dodgy being overcast for most of the day with the occasional shower but the lake was a bit more calm.

As far as the racing goes Tayne completed 21 races and I think he was only beaten by the occasional Hydrospace and Roger a few times. He picked up a pretty flash trophy for winning open class ski at the North Island Champs - well done Face Man!

Paula had a close battle with Hannah all weekend coming second on Saturday, but turned that around to finish on a winning note on Sunday. She also picked up a massive trophy in near perfect condition for winning the winter endurance series - Congratulations Paula!

Dick Webb showed us his mantra of "rubbing is racing" is not all talk and I can report that he is able to turn it on and off at will because I presented him with the perfect t-bone opportunity at the end of the front straight and somehow he was able to avoid me. I think that may have put him off his game though because he then proceeded to blow all his skis up.

I had a great battle with Brad all weekend with some really close racing between the two of us going down to the wire in nearly every race. The spoils went to Brad on Saturday and me on Sunday. Overall congratulations go to Brad as the Novice Ski North Island Champ!

The big disappointment for me was that after all the talk I was the only one who turned up with a classic ski so I couldn't race my blaster. I did put it through its paces at lunch on Saturday though and can report that they go hard with Sox's new ride plate.

Oh ... there were a few homo-chariots on the lake from time to time but I have no idea WTF they were up to :D

What Dazza said plus plenty of lion red and tui being consumed.

It was a good weekend on the whole lets hope more people turn up with blasters at round 4 so Dazza can show us his sit down skills and an added bonus will be if theres blaster racing in the surf.

Tayne had a bit of luck as dick webb had motor issues on sunday
He rode well but let the pressure get to him a bit on saturday fell off twice while in front of roger but raced clean and consitantly on sunday
Big congrates to brad who has come a long way
Owe him a big apoligie for not realising he had no holder in the last race so started without one
Awsome 2 days big thanks to norm and richard for refocusing tayne

Too fucken right. "Ride it like you stole it".

I put together a little video highlighting the fact that you need to get up close and personal on the track. Highlights are from the weekends event at Rotoma.

Yeah that does look scary. Are those modified ski's because they look really fast or is it just camera effect.

Ok I see so you need a raider 1100 motor like Face. I thought that a ported 701 with ADA head, B-pipe, prop, grate and plate would do.
