    You fella's got any special stuff you use for painting over plastic on your ski's?
    I want something that is going to last a long time, not worried if it costs more than a rattle can job. I just don't want to have to repaint every time it gets a knock.

    Theres alot of plastic adhesion promoting products depending on what paint system you use.

    I found the best way is to sand the plastc with a coarse grit paper 80 on the orbital 120 by hand. You want the plastic really furry.

    use a plastic adhesion promoter its usually clear in colour.

    2k colour , couple of coats. let it dry, it will look like shit;

    then sand again, 500 grit paper, sand smooth

    2 more coats of your colour ;should look good.

    You can sand and coat again to get a thicker coat of paint(more ware)

    but :arrow:

    for the bumper

    I take off the stock bullshit and put a rubber moulding around th ski

    you can buy it by the mitre and it comes with the double sided tape ,ready to stick on.

    The sj on trade me has it.

    fuk iv had 2many beers talking 2much, hope this helps dude

    Bumper is going to be turrf, out of interest, what was the stuff called that you are talking about? Looks quite good. I was thinking more for the Fire Extinguisher caps, I want to get the side cusions re-apholstered in Black so want the gay purple on the caps to be black also. If it's too hard I may just fill with foam and when I get the cusions done just get the holes covered up.

    I think it just called rubber door moulding.l

    I would block up the holes in the back and install footholds. get rid of that plastic cusion set up .they ripp off in the surf,and just turf over the tray sides.
