Tank is building up excessive pressure & im using an aftermarket valve. Can anyone tell me if the oem one has a' pop off 'pressure?

What kind of aftermarket valve are you using? I used a few aftermarket ones and haven't had an issue with pressure. Is this whilst you're riding?

Dunno..its a small one I found somewhere. Ive used it before on a cart tank and never noticed the pressure build up. Its only since im using a thrust 5 gal tank and its bulging out...? Might need to ask ajsp if this is common with those tanks. ????

Yeah - I've never had an issue with any. I've got a billet motobike one on my kart tank now and its not causing any grief. I don't believe that the standard ones, nor the aftermarket, have any pop-off. Its one-way only. Technically the worst case pressure in the tank shouldn't be anymore than your popoff pressure. So no doubt around 18psi for your setup at a guess.

Yip..18psi.. its not causing any preformance issues, just that the tank is ballooning out...doesnt look good :? Ill swing the question past craig re any issues with those tanks.
    cheers for the input..

Taynes JB1 does it, we have an internal cold fusion filler,he leaves his cap undone.

if your pop off is low be careful that, the pressure doesnt fill the motor with fuel
It has happened to us,pretty messy but cleans everything out
