    Hey.

    Just finished a summer long re-build of 89 550Js.

Along the way i picked up a 550SX.

Anyway both are up and running but need tuning, i am hoping somebody can help!

They both run, but bog under stain or full throttle.

The SX runs well till its warmed up and then it goes shitty.

The JS ran well before re-build so should run sick once its bedded in and all tuned in.

Anyway im thinking i may need to clean the carbs but could really use a hand and another persons opinion.

    cheers.

I think you're on the right track, pull down the carb/s and give them a clean out and dry out, if theres even a drop of water on the flapper or diaphram it will bog like you said and the water won't go anywhere until you get rid of it, I've done this a few times on the beach, not too difficult.
you shouldn't need to alter the mixtures if like you say they were both running beforehand.

thats just my 10 cents, might be way off, but sounds like a process of elimination is what you need so thats a start.

I notice in another post you said your JS has a PJS motor?

Have you got the PJS reed cylinders ?? what carb(s) are you running on it?

    I got a js550 with full PJS motor.....running twin 38mm Mikuni SBN's
