Pulled my head of my SJ tonight and came across a damaged piston, had a closer look and i could see that part of the sleve around the intake port was missing... Sweet It needed a rebuild anyway but a bugger that I found it in mid summer and when i have no cash! Got a couple of photos, this a comman problem?

What bore size are you at I have only ever seen that on a 84.25 cylinder where they were so thin Yeah its stuffed throw it in the bin and get another sleeve
Yeah, was still running pretty well haha. I can only measure it with my verniers but its 81mm so standard. Some of it did go through the crank case, i can see the scratch marks where its been throwen around between the counter weights and the case. Guts for me! How do i check the crank? dont realy want to pull it apart but i supose ive gotta... Also wheres a good place to get the sleeves done? Im aiming at new sleeves and new pistons. Not sure if i can afford a crank

Yeah true, i'll do you a deal on some cranks steve, and i have a barrel with a damaged sleeve too so you can press one out and make a good one out of two, ring me bitch.
