    Hey guys

Im new to this forum and the jetski scene. But i dont have a jetski yet but ive been on alot on them and they are awsome to ride.

Im currently looking at kawasaki 750sx poleski its in mint condtion just been servcied and other maintance stuff. The engine is completley standerd. It also comes with a trailer so its pretty much ready to go.

So all i want to know is how much i should pay for it?

    Thanks

    1995 is kinda old bro!!

I bought a 97 Super Jet but i planned from the beginning to do a ground up rebuild which turned it into a new ski anyway.
If you buy something old be aware you could be buying someone elses problems.
Im sure most of the guys on here will have had a horror story at some stage about an old ski they bought, I know I have!

You can pick up some pretty nice sxi's and sxi pro's for fairly good money. and even the odd SXR for around 7k

If you can get it for good money, and im thinking around 2 to 2.5k it could be a good buy but be prepared to spend a bit on it just in case!!

Make sure you do a compression test on the ski. The last thing you want are for the cylinders to have uneven compression...........

It looks alright man, could be a good buy at that money?

Definately check the compression, good sign of the skis internal wear. Low and/or uneven compression could mean there are other worn out bits

And you will have to get rid of all the purple :) And definitly put some foot holds in with new turf then you will be good to ride :)

Yep it sure is this one, im busy with exams atm so ill try to go and have a look at it and do a compresion test on and see if its good then il see what is the best price he can do. i was thinking around $2200 thats pretty much where my budget stands.

And im in Bucklands beach Area so not too far from the North Shore

And btw what is foot holds? and turf? as im not too good with jetski parts lol. will get there and know about jetskis more sometime soon i hope.

Have a look at mats superjet on the build page and you will see what footholds and turf are. There are a lot of people in bucklands beach on this board...... How old are you?

Yeh get the compression tested! 1995 isn't too old, it does look pretty good. Footholds are a must! they are basically that. foot sized cups that ya glass into ya ski for handling. Turf is the stuff in the tray that gives you ya grip. mint trailer tho.
Yeh man I'm just in howick, heaps of guys are from round here eh!

Why the fuk would you buy an old kawasaki when you can get a squarenose superjet for that money, better power, easier to ride, easier to get parts for, probably get one with a b-pipe for that money.

yea heard alot of good things about sj but couldnt find anythn good really. and besids if i buy this its gna be my first jetski to learn in and have fun and then move on to better and faster jetskis.

And also one question, what is the comprassion test reading has to be? how many PSI?

Not so sure eh, think they should be around the 180-ish.
If ya can get one, get an SJ, way better for learning and for advanced freestyle imo. 8)

hey mate your best bet is a superjet and the gold one looks good for the money and if you offer cash you will probably get it for $2500 but if youve got your hart set on a 750 kawi get a 750sxi with twin carbs.
