The drive shaft is seized in my 650 supejet. I have taken the motor out and have taken the 3 bolts out that holds the bearing housing to the hull what else do i have to do to get it apart. And what are my best options for fixing this.

your drive shaft is 2 pieces, the short couple piece and the longer shaft with impellar etc on.
they spline into each other so you can just pull the coupler shaft off if you have undone those 3 bolts.

however its usually the wear ring that swells against the side of the impellar and jams up......so you probably didnt need to take your motor out at all....

thanks for that I will have a look. It didn't take that much time to get the motor out. If it is the wear ring what do i do there replace it??

Dont panic just yet! Have you got them apart yet? When they are apart check then and we can go from there.

When the liner swells it get a high point that wears out your prop
You need to re weld your prop to get the clearance right if you want it to be perfect
    its all up to you

Hello. I use a plastic wear ring in my pump housing. It cheep and doesnt sweel due to the dissimaler metals. Also the clearance is very good.
  12. Where do you get a plastic wear ring?

That my exprience i have had with them as well

If it has a bulge in the liner then its worn down your prop

put in a new liner and a new prop
you will be happy in the long run

I have not used the ski for a while and every thing was fine befor it was winterised. I think the bulge poped out while it was sitting around. I also don't have alot of cash to spend on a new prop so will get a new wear ring and see how it goes.
