Currently running total loss msd. I'm amazed it still works as it's so corroded up. Want something that's gonna be reliable so going stock sounds like the sensible thing to do.

If you could get the lot for $300 it would be the way to go.

there is a number of things you can do to make MSD totalloss more reliable.....if you spend the time/ use proper stuff, to do it properly ...i probably spent about 12hours when I did mine...and havent had any issues with it to date 'touch wood' ....only electrical issue has been a starter relay & starter.

Let me know if you want any hints and tips.......remember total loss is the next biggest power gain after adding a Pipe!! :D

See the two main problems here are is that this ski was one of titty2's super deals and as dax said he has been doing everything on the "cheap"

I think he found out yesterday that isnt going to cut it on the island and is going to spend a little time and some money to rite it so he can ride and enjoy.

Actually the electrical system on that boat has been running without a problem since doug imported that ski about 8 years ago which includes race and surf riding.

The electrical system was definitely past its use by date to be honest, but it was hard to tell till you opened the electrical box which looked like a salt shaker inside!
I tried to fix the electrical system by encasing the MSD, relay etc in a IP67 rated case, but water still got in and corroded things. I think the stock electrical box is best desiged for the conditions, so putting that back in is a good place to start.

It's been fine and spent many missions in the huge conditions at Port Waikato, its just got to the point where a few little things are causing it to be unreliable.

Just a damn shame the water is so shallow at Matakana, the first time I break an engine mount and its four at once!!!
