i used to use it, until i blew up my 750sxi, no idea if it was related, but the tts costs twice as much as the valvoline tcw3 stuff i changed to.
Some one at one of the last rides I went to was usung Castrol R (bike oil). Its got quite a diffrent smell but I have no idea who was using it?
I run Maxima Castor 927 in my poleski's and have done so for the last 7 years with no issues. It is not TC-W3 rated. In saying that, I only run it because I brought a sit load back from the US, and when that runs out I will be running the cheap shit...
Thanks I will stick to the marine grade. It is cheap at super cheap at the moment. I was able to get the castrol real cheap but I dont tink it is worth it. Cheers
Really? TCW3 designation is for low temp water cooled engines as it is ashless which allows the engine to run at low rpm's for a long time and not foul the plugs. I would think if someone was using the correct oil/fuel ratio, then something else was wrong other than the type of oil... Flan, don't use expensive oil, get the cheap tc-w3 rated oil and save the $$$$ Here is a good read... http://www.sea-doo.net/techarticles/oil/oil.htm
sorry my point was the same as knoxie tcw 3 grade why risk it for a little more we ride a lot and have never had any problemms everyone is going to have an opinion
I agree with the TC-W3 designation, and since TC-W3 is basically a recipe, the cheaper the oil the better! Even Team Scream uses and recommends quicksilver, which is the cheapest of the cheap...
