I've seen on a site carbon fibre chambers for b pipes.... would it be bad idea to my old alloy chamber with a coat of carbonfibre to increase strenght/durabilty? (it's already had a weld repair before). appreciate feedback - weird science exhaust chambers are.
I think you will find they took a mold of an alloy pipe and then made one form carbon, and it's not a layer of carbon over an alloy one. Wamiltons sells one https://www.wamiltons.com/index.php?mai ... 3d0275ba18
They look good but I've heard they dont work aswell as aluminium ones because they dont resonate properly. They weight is pretty close too so no real gain apart from looks.
b pipe I think we have a new old stock chamber by itself at work if your interested let me know and i will see how much it is.
chamber the long limited pipe. we have a few pipes left over kawa 750 mod and limited, 650 ltd and yama ltd. there may be a yamaha mod but not sure if it is or not i will check in the morning.
pipe When I went to get the chamber to send out for Redtro it turns out the chamber is for a 650 sj not 701  So if you know someone with a 650 we will sell it cheap.
pipe Well Waxhead if you had of said the 650 pipe is great you could of got comission  not anymore! I blame Brad, who I think you know I work with him at Mike Phillips watercraft
sorry Mate cant lie i was running a 701 pipe on my ski back in the day it went alot harder than the 650 pipe it was not the length but the volume of it
pipe I will chop it up for alloy or modify it to fit on an sxr as we have tried a few different chambers on them as we have a left over new head pipe, manifold, mod pipe ,limited pipe, 650 kawa etc so we try anything once the 750 mod is the loudest thing i have ever ridden
pipes I will rephrase that I will try anything once as long as it doesnt cost money  always fun tinkering around and usually the ski goes faster than stock but just in it for fun and in summer will run stock pipe for social racing on sundays
