hey guys im going to try redo my gaskets on my carb how do u go about cleaning it up and were is the best place to buy a gasket set for twin carb , or is it best to send to shop and get them to do it ?
you kan get gasket kits on trademe, do one at a time in a tray or on paper etc get some carb clean, a scraper blade to remove old gasket but be carful with it and have a good set of screw drivers and you be away, make sure to count number of turns on mixture screws..
yeah as mish mentioned , make sure you use the correct size screw drivers as its fairly as to strip the head of a fair few of the screws on a carb if it aint been apart in ages.
sweet ill try find a carb kit ,i got plenty of screw drivers (sparky),can i take the needle out and clean it or is it best to leave it ?
yep take it all apart, make sure needle valve is sweet ie no groove in it from sitting in the seat. yep sparky screwdrivers are gem for removing jets etc
havnt got gasket sets yet ,waiting on order from atlantic to arrive ,its all striped and cleaned just need to place back together
