bilge pump

installed a bilge pump this week and it seems to work but then today it would turn on and off by itself with the switch on. I then turned it off then turned it on and it didnt run, did the same again and then ran is it to do with my wires?? Is it not always getting the signal when i turn on the switch.

r u using waterproof switch?

check your connection on the battery, if you crimped terminals check these, sounds like a loose connection... its not on a float switch???

mmm not to onto it with wiring so i will get some one who know what they doing to check it out

how long did you run it for? you cant run it without water for a long time........
