    could possibly work.......

i would say it would depend on couple of things.....

which signals it will work with ..superjets have analogue systems, so may need some sort of analogue to digital conversion, all the programmable ignitions on market so far seem to have their share of problems when converting analogue signal to digital......760's however have digital systems so would probably have more chance working with that.

The other thing is it mentions its an 'Ignition system' , it doesn't mention its a CDI (capacitor discharge ignition) were the charging coil on your stator charges the capacitor which is the thing which sends the voltage to coil.........without that it may not have enough grunt to send to the coil to keep up with the motor speed.

you sound like a rocket scientist when you talk like that knoxie

The 760 is the system to use your correct. if you go ahead with this then you need to know the tooth length on a 760 is 54 degrees

great, now we have the info in one place..... now all we need is someone with the smarts to create it...

    - not me, i can only think of ideas, no idea how to implement it

the finished product would have to give you huge gains on an msd for all the time/effort/potential problems incurred while getting it right!!
    would it be worth it?

I have done it using an 760 electronics on a sxr style ignition. I was using as a total loss system in my open boat.
    It works very well
I suggest you look up ignitech they have an ignition that will run it just fine
  8. What happened to that EPIC ignition you where trying, wouldn't it be better just to buy one like that. There have been others over the years that have been a "epic failure and disappointment", i've tried a few and all failed at some point or other.

Be interesting to see what your thoughts are about the EPIC otherwise id go MSD total loss

So who is going to do it.
    Here is the ignitech website

this would work on the 760 flywheel and there are a heap of liteweight rad charging flywheel on ebay at the moment

we have had a few problems with those rad flywheels so watch what you buy
  11. MSD is proven to work, not necessary the best out there but at least its a good gain for the dollars and reliable.

All these after market ones that people are tring are having problems from what i here. No update on the EPIC, good, bad ?

Thats good advice for sure. I have had the same issue myself with rad wheels.
I have found by using grinding paste and loctite I was sucessful in getting them to stay on. And as long as they were torqued correctly they didnt break
