They must be stronger than a standard one, but I've been told they make no difference in power. They do make your ski a bit louder - the standard waterbox has a more muted sound compared to an alloy one.
I've had several alui ones over the years. The only reason i got them is the stock one's shit themselves and it's better in my opinion to upgrade to a better system rather than put another stock one that will break in the future. They make no differance to performance, slightly louder
You can actually fit the stock round nose one in there I havent done it but i have seen it done and was told its pretty much a direct fit
My waterbox is still good, was just thinkin bout gettin an Alu one thats all. Prob not worth it. If anyone has one tho, and want to sell give me a yell
Its more a an issue with blaster blowing them up than superjets Im not actually sure why. maybe the fuel can not collect in the superjet one as much as the blaster
Aftermarket is well worth it on the SN's with those cheap arse OEM fiberglass waterboxes. Use a RN box as Wax suggested, and it is a direct fit..
Custom Ali box If anyone is interested I will make them a custom ali box in the new year to try at no cost as we are looking for new products to work on for the next season. contact kevin@skimd.co.nz. your ski should be stock or near stock and have a rev counter for feed back to qualify.
