Jetski Washed Ashore: Kapiti Coast

Just thought I should post this up here in case anyone knows anything:

New Zealand Police Alert 9:00am 9 Mar 2009 Wellington

Location of incident: Kapiti Coast

Incident type: Information sought

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a Jetski on the beach at Peka Peka (Kapiti Coast) at approximately 9am this morning.
The 2005 model green Kawasaki Jetski was found washed ashore with some damage to it - and Police are trying to ascertain the whereabouts of the owner or rider of it.
A search of the Kapiti area is currently underway - with a fixed wing aircraft and the Coastguard assisting in the search.
Police are asking anyone with any information on this matter to call their local Police station.
