Just spent a bit of time and money on it, so I thought I'd stick some pics online. No idea what year it is, but it's got the occasional purple bit trying to expose itself...so its old.

My first turf job ever, would definitely do it different the next time but happy enough with my first attempt. Black hydroturf, 3mm underpad and another 15mm shaped underpad layer on top.

Removed total loss and installed stock ignition with MSD enhancer. Lightened the flywheel. Hardly makes any difference from the MSD, 100% backs up what Tofa said about total loss being a total loss in a surf boat.

There was a discussion the other day about hand grips, I got these alan key type lockable ones from an Avavti Plus store for $30. They have a big range and they are all cheap.

Also, didn't want to leak fuel over my turf so at the recommendation of a guy from x-h2o I found these lawnmower bulb type primers. Only $12 too.

    Specs:
    96+ Superjet.
    Blowsion Destroyer tubbies
R&D 777 ported Engine, Girdled ADA head.
    Factory pipe
    Dual 500GPH rule bilge pumps
    Dual cooling
Stock electrics with MSD enhancer and lightened flywheel.
    Dual 44mm carbs
    Terrys engine keepers
    Sox hood straps
    Leytons lowered pole bracket.
Pole seriously shortened (broke so I had no choice)
Groovy Riva ride plate, chopped short.

Next winter will I will remove the engine to see what nick its in, install spacers on the intake and repaint/recoat it.

I thought you had the total loss all sealed up nice now for the surf??....if you hardly noticed a difference over an enhancer you cant have been running enough advance down low......i got huge gains with total loss, over enhancer with lightened flywheel.

It was a very old total loss MSD and it was literally falling to bits, its probable it was just stuffed. Its possible it wasn't set up right, although I did verify the settings from the manual and they appeared to be the best for the setup. It would have been impossible to change now anyway since its now encased in silicone. Not having to disconnect and charge the battery after every time I go out will be a nice change too.
Your MSD is a dual coil one right? There's possibly big spark gains from that not having to fire each stroke, my total loss used a single stock coil.
