carb tuning

    Just changed the carb on Kawa 750ss single carb, Any1 tell me the factory setting start point for the High n Low speed screws plz (how many turns )... Cheers

    Not sure about the single carb but here are the specs for the SXI and SXI PRO

    SXI with Keihin, CDK-II 40 X 2

    Spark Plug NGK BR8ES
    —Gap 0.7-0.8 mm
    Ignition Timing 13° BTDC at 12,500 rpm
    16 mm at 2,500 rpm
    Carburetor
    Idle Speed 1,250 ± 100 rpm (in water)
    Low Speed Needle 7/8 turn open
    High Speed Needle 7/8 turn open
    Compression Pressure 12.5 kg/cm2 @ 750 rpm (open throttle)

    SXI PRO with Mikuni 40mm Diaphragm Type X 2

    Spark Plug NGK BR8ES
    —Gap 0.7-0.8 mm
    Ignition Timing — Idle Speed 13° BTDC at 1,250 rpm
    — High Speed 20.2° BTDC at 4,000 rpm
    Carburetor
    Idle Speed 1,250 ± 100 rpm (in water)
    Low Speed Needle 7/8 turn open
    High Speed Needle 7/8 turn open
    Compression Pressure 12.5 kg/cm2 @ 750 rpm (open throttle)

    cheers azza, did the trick, bit of fine tuning on the low speed , bout 1 n a bit turns...
